50 years ago, magnetic tape memories were invented. They had been an inherent part of every backup system in enterprises. After a couple of time, they became less important. The new rotating memory modules were more suitable for industry. Although the magnetic tape memories had faster and more facinating history of development then most other IT techonolgies.
