The following exhibit represents multiple vintage logic- and memory elements with applied monolithic system technology (MST). From 1970 core memory was displaced by monolithic memory elements as central memory. At first they had a capacity of 128 byte. The first computer using monolithic system technology, was the IBM 370. In this case we are dealing with MOSFET plug-in units on which two memory cards with each 4 kB are build up to a 8 kB memory capacity. The memory cards had modules with 1024 bit. Monolithic system technology memory cards allowed us for the first time continuous usage of a technology at processors. Impulse transformed elements were not longer required.
