This exhibit is a hard drive, which was predominantly intended for the mobile use, for example in laptops. That’s why Fujitsu bank on GDT media (Glass Direct Texture). This results in a much lower volume development and an up to 30 percent higher data density. In addition, other techniques like "Fluid Dynamic Bearing" were used to increase the resistance to shocks drastically. Furthermore, an enhanced error correction code has been used to provide additional data security in mobile devices.
