There were three families with several cycle times: - 5 to 10ns at 0,9 to 3 Volts high speed - 30ns at 0-3 Volts medium speed - 700ns at 0 to 12 Volts low speed The revolutionary SLT-technology came along with some extraordinary improvements. On the one hand it spent lower power and, because of the minor dimensions, less space. On the other hand it offered a higher speed and reliability compared to circuit boards with usual transistor-devices. Parasitic couplings were minimized by the electrical isolation of the devices. Finally the SLT technology reached a reliability-rate that isone thousand times higher than the parent, the vacuum tube.
