With the completion of the Z4 and the following founding of the Zuse KG he developed many more computer for industrial and academic usage and other research instituts.
The Zuse KG developed the Z5 and Z11 based on the relay technology. Only with the use of the new and faster tupe technique for the arithmetic units and magnetic drum memories could shipped a higher number of Z22 machines. With 56 sold computers and a piece of 150.000 to 230.000 DM was the first commercial success of the Zuse KG. The Z22 had a clock frequency of about 140 KHz and execute calculations in less miliseconds. This was the first computer with a programable-memory from Zuse.
All other computer based on transitors, which needs much less maintance efforts. These were placed in the Z23 and once again improved Z25 and Z31. The Z26 had a clock frequency of about 5 MHz and could execute a simple multiplication in 6 micro seconds. He was also provided with a modern operating system that allowed to execute multiple programs. The presentation with a fully functional machine was 1968 on the german industrial exhibition. Now Siemens acquired the Zuse KG and they never occurred to extradition a computer. He also destroyed the prototype with all important documents.
The Zuse KG produced in addition to the calculating machines an automatic drawing table – the Z64. He was based on transistor technology and presented in 1961. The Z64 was used for example In automotive, airplane and shipbuilding, surveying and road construction for the fully automatic drawing of individual points, curves and symbols.
Overall the Zuse KG produced computer in the value of 102 milion DM from 1949 to 1969.
